Core functions / responsibilities include: 

1. Development, implementation and monitoring all Community Recreation and Cultural plans.

2. Development and implementation of strategies and processes to ensure high quality service delivery for the department.

3. Preparation and administration of annual department budget and expenditure control

4. Providing overall direction to the Community and Recreation team
